Wicca

As Wicca started me on this quest of mine, I'll review it first.

Basic Guiding Principle: An it harm none, do as ye will. What you do do, you get back three-fold.

Founder/Prophet: Revived out of a number of old nature-worshiping religions, there is no cohesive hierarchy. Some sects have strict rules and regulations, and a rigid hierarchy.

Holy Writ: Individual practitioners create their own "Book of Shadows", a collection of their personal rites and spells. Some sects require Initiates to copy a core BOS, to which they add their own personal workings.

Deity: Varies largely. Most common is a God/Goddess combo, sometimes with a genderless One also acknowledged.

What happens when you die?: Reincarnation. Eventually, you finish learning everything you need to know, and nobody's really sure what happens then.

Proselytism: None. Believers are expected to find the path on their own. There are guides further up the path, but locating it is a burden on the seeker.

Hostility towards Non-Believers: Only from the crazies.

Things I Liked: Lots of freedom to work in. Every source said :"This is how I do it. This is how some other people do it. Feel free to do either. Or mix parts. Or come up with a third way all together. It's all cool."

Things that Bugged me: All of the word parts seemed a little to theatrical, to staged. As though this is what they think I want to think.
